My favourite is Les Paul std.
for second choice i would go for a Tele or a Strat

Les Paul has the best tone i ever heard, some think its too jazzy but it sounds great playing blues and rock

Yeah one off my friends have got one of those but i dunno what sort it is but either way i have heard most of them and they all have great tone and a cool classic look, another great great guitar with a great tone is a Gibson gothic SG they are awesome guitars (a bit outta my price range though!!!)

The Gibson Les Paul Standard or the Fender American Stratocaster. You can't go wrong with either one of them. They are both extremely versatile guitars and they both sound awesome. I don't know much about the B.C. Rich guitars that are being produced now, but almost all of the ones I remember from the 80's were pretty poor. Have they done something recently to change their production quality? Are they making them out of different woods these days?

There are 3 guitars that i like best:

1. My beloved Godin G4000
2. Parker Fly http://www.parkerguitars.com/images/Models/Deluxe.jpg

3. and finally the "Birdfish" from TeuffelGuitars

I put together my own guitars, loosely based on strats and tele's, I like to put the controls where I want them, do all of my own pet mods to them, I've used the name guitars and there alway's seem to be something I like and dislike about them. My dream guitar is one that put's itself away, keeps itself clean and would change them old funky strings once in awhile, Hey SoS, is "sick" a good thing or a bad thing?

Yeah i heard BC richs used to have a pretty poor production line in the mid 70s and 80s but when i used that Nj Beast it totally rocked. They must have done sumthin but no one could know unless you had an 80s and a 90s BC rich and compared?
Hey fellas how would uses feel if you just bought a gidson worth $3000 Australian and then it got stolen and 3 days later it was chuked over your fence smashed to peices.....cause that what happened to my guitar teacher just the other day and was he MAD!!!!

I enjoy these quite a bit. I've played them before and they feel so nice. I also really like Les Pauls. Gibson is my overall favorite guitar maker.

It's gotta be the Fender Stratocaster. I have 6 of 'em: an American Deluxe, a Roadhouse (American), two Am Standards, a Mexican Deluxe and a Mex std. I think they're the most versatile guitarz out there, and I just love the tone. My collection used to consist of 4 Gibsons: SG std, Les Paul std, '65 non-reverse Firebird, and a '61 ES 330TD, but lately I've become a Strat guy (hence my username) and all the Gibsons are gone. I'm getting ready to sell my Taylor 514ce - anybody interested?

To get a pic you do this. Substitute the * for a /

[img]image URL[*img]

and it should appear. Remember *=/

Oh and yes i love the cherry red SGs they are the classic original and I really really want one. My grandmother said she would buy one for me if I went and got a haircut, I am still debating. . .

I've got a cherry red SG that I flipped lefty... f-ing killer guitar. I'm selling my 50th anniversary Tele custom (if anyone's interested, let me know... I can send a couple pics, and it is the NICEST F-ING TELE EVER MADE but it's a righty and i gave up trying to play righty, so it goes) to get an actual lefty SG, probably black this time around. I wish they made Goth models left handed...

Gee, I've played some really nice Tele's, some nice LP's, never got down w/the strat though. I also like the ESP EX series, the ones I've played were great, even for bluesy stuff.

As far as best body designs go, I'd say either the SG or the ESP F-series. I don't like BC Rich body styles, they're uncomfortable and flashy, just like the decade they ruled. Oh and they don't sound particularly great for the cost either... stick with ESP's...

For starters i hate BC rich, but that's just my opinion. My Dream Guitar is a Gibson Gothic explorer with an EMG 60 in the neck and an 81 in the bridge. I'd also kinda like a triple rectifier too, but i wont be too greedy.

I would have to go with the guitar I not only own, but love to death. The ESP KH-2. That's Kirk Hammett's specially-designed guitar. It is frickin' awesome! Or sick, as Sos would say. :0) I don't really like the body of the SG's and I HATE Telecasters though I don't really have any reason to. But this KH-2 has a Floyd Rose locking-tremolo system, skull&crossbone inlays, and EMG-81 pickups. It's all black. I'd find a picture and post it up, but it takes forever. I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about anyways. I got it from a pawn shop for only $700 (good compared to it's usual cost price at $1499). I like ESP's a lot. My dream guitar is a Gothic Flying V '98. I don't know why. I love the gothic color, and I've just always wanted a V for some reason. Hasta la bye-bye, ~Time

I've played with a Gibson SG for 7 years now.

Tried a lot of others but none of them had the fretboard mine has.

It's a 67 I think. Even tought the neck as been broken and the body is kinda beat up it sounds really good.
