Kirk Hammett Style

I've noticed that Hammett will do a lick and then do a scalular run and then go to another lick...which is the basic "form" of his solos. Can anyone give me anymore tips on his style? I've already went through the inspiration pages of his, but it's not quite what I'm looking for.

play lots of legato and hammer ons, use the wah extensively, and have a very high end and bass sound, you'll sound like him... I actually find his style a little too easy to understand... But they play great riffs with hetfield...
