What do you guys and gals think of Billy Corgan. Are there ANY Pumpkins fans on this board? I am interested to know as I think he is a brilliant song writer...

My guitarist is a huge Pumpkins fan. I think he sounds a lot better than Corgan though. Seth's voice doesn't make me want to break my five string over his head.

Yeah, I'm a pumpkins fan alright. I sacrifice goats to Billy every saturday. Seriously though, he's an excellent, excellent songwriter and even though his singing is a little bitone, it just makes the pumpkins more unique.

Just listen to Set The Ray To Jerry (The Aeroplane Flies High and Judas O.) and you'll see what I mean.

On a side note, if anyone can show me where I can buy The Aeroplane Flies Lower (also by the pumpkins, it's quite rare), please tell me. I've been looking for it for ages.

If you're talking about the boxed set, I just saw it today at Coconuts. It usually seems to be there too.

But find some freakin' Ani DiFranko though? Hell no. I had to go to Borders for that. Luckily they had a lot of Zappa stuff, so I did pretty well for myself.

Are you sure the box set was called The Aeroplane Flies Lower, not higher? The one I'm looking for is a German import and the only company that had it went out of business.

The Aeroplane Flies High (damn, these are confusing) I have already, it has a black spiral cover and a handle, the other one is just black with writing.

i think he's a great songwriter
and i don't mind his voice either - he's good at expressing the emotion in his tunes

Yeah, I just re-read some of the replies, set the ray to jerry is a simple masterpeice. all the right elements to make it work. i love it! i also bought pisces iscariot today. i've heard starla heaps before but it reminded me today how great it is as well! so what did you guys think of the greatest hits cd???
