Hey everybody! I just registered to this site yesterday thanks to an awsome promotional movie clip. I started playing a classical guitar with nylon strings that I was able to borrow from a friend of mine maybe three months ago, but now it's time for me to get one of my own. I thought about buying a classical guitar myself, just for basics. But I figured out the basics already. So I visited a guitar store with my evenly enthusiasic cousin and then I fell in love with electric guitars. We made up a budget for ourselves not to exceed €500,- for an amp and guitar. I am still doubting whether I should buy the Yamaha Pacifica 012 or the Yamaha RGX 121 Z. They're both amazing to me, but then again: I don't know much of anything yet. The plus on the RGX 121 Z is the double humbucker and of course the overall look. Do any of you know these guitars and which one is better?
And of course the amplifier. In the store I just stood in awe looking at a ten feet high, five feet wide amp that'll probably cause a nuclear blast by playing the low E string alone. But that one far exceeds the beginners budget. Any suggestions?
