hi im still working my way down the beginners level 1 ((i like to pace myself) what i want to know is are the notes the same all the way up the fret board ie e f g a on the low e string or does the key
change thanks for ur time

The notes start over at the 12th fret...a good diagram like this one helps to see the pattern more clearly:
