Not sure if you have already had a look but if you look over to the left of the website you will see quicklinks to various types of lessons. The first section is By Style and the second list is By Inspiration. In the By Inspiration section there is a link to Ry Cooder.

Generally speaking, copyrighted materials won't appear on this site, unless we have received permission to use them in our lessons, so you're best to look elsewhere for those. By learning the style of guitar though, which may or may not be under the Ry Cooder section, you will pick up some insights that will most likely help you to play what you are trying to learn plus learn how to do it your way as well.

I'm still working on the slide thing, I can do about three licks. Just basic stuff right now, the other stuff is not ready for show yet.

I have 3 slides, but my fave is about the size of the neck of a beer bottle. I use a brass one on acoustic, and I have a larger glass one.

I've always loved that sound, and often try to imitate it without a slide. You can do some really cool licks, if you drop both E strings to D. I'll probably post some of that stuff soon, but back to your question.

Light487 already gave you what my answer would have been, if you pick up the technique you can figure out the licks.

Here comes another thunder storm, signing off now.
