what kind of flip are you talking about; the one where you fling it around you with the strap?

Sure you can, just make sure you have strap locks, plenty of room, and you gotta go all or none or else you will hurt yourself or your axe.

Yah the one where you flip it around your body. :D
I was just wondering if it matters that the guitar strap is on the back of the guitar and not on the top corner like on most guitars.

I have been watching G3 Live At Denver (with Yngwie) DVD a bit lately and Yngwie does this "flip" heaps during his performances..

Yeah I saw Yngwie at Selinas a few years back (not G3 related) and I recall he did the flip several times - that poor axe, being thrown around and having the crap played out of it like that...

You'd probably have to have a wireless system otherwise you would hang yourself on the guitar lead and probably knock over the singers mic stand etc. Vai used to do it a lot when he was with Roth, check out the vids on youtube - I seem to remember Yankee Rose had a lot of gutar trickery. Not something I would ever risk on one of my own axes though! CRACK... there goes the headstock!

Although that trick has gotten old and some people find it annoying.
I would love to be able to do it.

But I am too chicken to even try it.
