Hey ya'll!
Well, my dream finally came through. Ever since I was 11 I wanted to learn how to play the guitar. My parents weren't very supporting in that respect so I busted my butt learning math and all the other crap that "would actually benefit you" Now, at the late age of 21, my current girlfriend gave me a guitar for by birthday. I'm a 100% noob but I had been taking some free online courses but I finally bit the bullet and subscribed to this site.
I have only had the guitar since May 2 but I know a few things here and there like how to hold it, G, C, D chords and all those basics. The site I was using though was very vague and I loved the preview videos I saw on this site.
The guitar my girlfriend bought me is an Eternal guitar. I've never seen them at stores but I did find them on ebay for a pretty hefty price so I'm guessing its a good quality guitar. Then again, I'm just using the price as a gauge. I know its a solid body guitar though. It has four knobs which I know one is for volume but I'm not sure about the other three.
About myself:
I'm an Engineering Management, Economics and Math major at SMU in Dallas. I have a year and a semester left then I'm out. I enjoy ALL types of music but my passion are classic rock, oldies and new rock. Stuff like Audioslave, coldplay, Killers. I hate stuff like Staind and 3 Doors Down. Too...simple?
I have seen Van Halen, George Thorgood and recently Roger Waters! (Just to brag :) ) Soon I'm going to go see Bryan Adams and Foreigner then NINE INCH NAILS!!!! My favorite guitarist would have to be Stevie Ray Vaughn. Other favorite would be Slash.
Since I recently turned 21 I have been hitting the bars pretty heavy lately. Its starting to wear out though. My favorite drink is Crown Reseve (on the rocks) or Crown and coke.
