Hey,

This may be the wrong place for this question, I apologize ahead of time. You know the song "I Don't Know" by Ozzy Osbourne. Right in the beginning (0:22) he does that crazy pull off lick:

e--------------------------------------------------
B--1p0h1p0h1p0------------------------------------
G-----------------2p0h2p0--------------------------
D----------------------------2p0h2p0---------------
A--------------------------------------3p0---------
E---------------------------------------------------

I'm not asking how to do this, as in technically speaking, because I can play this. (although not without distortion, which I'm working on) What I'm getting at is in the actual song, theres this real "edge" to it when he does it. I just can't duplicate it exactly and I'm wondering what it is? Is he somehow adding pinched harmonics in there, because thats what it sounds like. This has been bugging me for months! Thanks for any input guys. :)

are you using a compressor with it? it could also be just a simple phaser trick but im no expert on it.

Try playng that as all pinch harmonics.

Try playng that as all pinch harmonics.

Exactly, just pull off from pinch harmonics to the open string, sounds a lot harder than it actually is.
