I was wondering if anyone out there can give me some pointers. First off I am trying to decide where I need to start to enhance my playing skill using this website. I am a beginner/intermediate player and have been playing for about 2 solid years. I know there are some gaps in my playing. I'm not a very fast player. I understand the Major/Minor pentatonic scales, most open chords, barre chords and I have the fret board pretty much memorized and understand key structure a little bit. I like pretty much rock music but not against other styles as well. I was wondering so I'm not spinning my wheels here can someone tell me where I should begin in order to continue my education and make this site more worth while so I'm not jumping all over the place. Thank You

one thing i can say is that you might try looking into other styles. just any other style can help you add more "color" to your playing and help you become more expressive. id also recommend that you learn more about the keys and theory, you can do that here or in books/lessons. when you have a better understanding of the building blocks of music you can become a unique player and devolpe your own style.

dont worry too much about speed, that will come with practice. you can do exercises to incress your speed and accuracy but theory should come first.
