Solo's

I've been wanting to know this for a long time...anyone got any info for pulling off some solo's that have that whole distorted, high not sound. Also, what's a good way to get those fast solo's like Metallica, Megadeath, etc?

About fast solos, I think it's very usefull to learn those 3-per string scales/mods - you should find them in theory section I think. With some practice you'll get the speed.
