ive been looking to buy a new guitar but ive only been playing for 2 years so im not willing to spend a rediculous amount of money

i was origionally looking at something similar to a ibanez jem...

it needs to play similar to one, fast neck floyd rose ect...

but im not sure what to buy  i was looking at a rg 1570 as that was very good when i played on it.

i have been recommended rg prestiges more so then the jem 555 as you are "paying for the name" more so on the 555. the 7V is too expensive looking at a price range of up to 700-800 i think

anything else you can recommend?

thanks in advanced

I would look at buying a schecter

They have decent guitars for that price range :)

Unless Schecter uses Origional Floyd Roses, don't bother with something that has a licensed tremelo. But for a fixed bridge, I recommend a Schecter in that price range.

yea i was reccommeded them. the problem is i need to use the whammy bar for a lot of the songs my band plays, looking for a very good locking system cuz the bar takes a battering!

played on a few though an will probably be used as a "second" guitar kinda thing.

i play lead and need the tremelo arm :(

Take a look at some LTD's, they make some good guitars in that price range.

If you were looking for an Ibanez Jem, your budget is around 700-1000$ range I'm guessing. If I were you I would go for an Ibanez RG 20th anniversary. Those are some of the best Ibanez guitars I've ever played. It has the Wizard prestige neck, liscenced floyd rose, and some really cool colors (blaze orange, bright yellow, black) if your budget is under that, I would save up for it, It'll be well worth the wait. I believe this one falls at right about $1000 USD.

Btw, I think it has Dimarzios on it.
