Our server was down for a few hours today.
I checked with the data center and they told me a traffic accident caused damage to a power transformer near the data center. It blacked out the area. The data center went to backup power, which worked fine, but then two air conditioners (data centers need lots of cooling) failed to come back online after the power switch.
So they had to power down our server to keep it from overheating.
The air conditioners are back online, and all is now functioning normally.
