Hi Everyone.
I recently purchased one of the new Fender Strat VG's with the Roland pick-up. The acoustic guitar setting is OK - 5 out of 10; but I thought that using it with my Boss ME50 effects unit with the 'acoustic' patch might improve it dramatically. It does (8 out of 10), but I can't get any real volume without a horrible clipping sound!
I wondered if any of the other members had any ideas on how I might improve the acoustic setting of my new Start VG.
Thanks, Danny

I have no experience with the VG at all, although I've played my friend's Variax a lot. One thing that helps him is to turn the volume on the guitar down to just above half. Make sure any gain settings are at a minimum and try using a compressor.

When I heard about the VG a couple months ago, I was excited, then I saw the price, then I played it, and then I hated it. I don't care for Fender in general, but when I played the VG, nothing seemed to work right. Anyway I don't know any way to improve the sound of any electric. sorry.
