The heart of the Beatles' sound is the Rickenbacker guitar. Definitely unique. I've come close with my Telecaster, but its not the same.

A Rickenbacker guitar and a Vox amp is pretty much it, they used both the valve and solid state AC30's at various times, tho pretty much any Vox will get you close: Pathfinder, DA, Valvetronix and VR are all very reasonably priced and give an authentic Vox clean sound, or if your loaded just buy an AC30.

Try any number of amps by Fender. I think that a nice Fender Telecaster on clean tone coming out of a Fender Twin amp (or similar) will replicate beatle's clean tone pretty well.
Boss also makes a few stompboxes which emulate Fender amp sounds. See the FDR-1 or FBM-1 pedals. I've reviewed these suckers in detail before and think they are fantastic in terms of value, customization, and sound quality.
