Here's the problem, whenever I try to export a song that I made, when I try to listen to it I get an MMSYSTEM something or other error. Winamp says something about the file not being able to be translated or supported, which is BS because I know that it's a .wav file and Winamp should play it. Please help!

my wife's computer had the same problem...but not with cakewalk..just audio in general...anytime she tried to play mp3's or wav files.
she has some soundblaster live soundcard...(dont know what one right now)....
i called my computer help people...they had me download the latest drivers from the soundcard company....i installed them and they worked...

funny side note tho....not funny funny . but quirky..
we were "poking around" inside the computer...and i think the soundcard came loose a little bit...
so no audio would play...
i opened the computer up and secured the card in the slot better....then when i tried to play audio..i got the mmsystem error...
so i reinstalled the drivers..and it worked...
so..i suggest..

1. make sure the soundcard is seated securely in the computer
2. check audio.
3. if that doesnt work..download latest drivers...
4. check audio.
5. if that doesnt work..ask someone really good at computers...

(p.s. these steps worked for me...if you're not comfortable opening up your "box", then please get someone to do it for you...a little tiny static could ruin your day)!!!!

good luck
-let us know if it works

It's not that it has trouble playing audio, I can listen to anythng just fine, except for whatever I export out of cakewalk... so I can't listen to my own music outside of cakewalk :(
