Switch?

hey guys, i brought a new guitar a few months ago BC.RICH Warlock. one of the older ones tho. and next to the pickup switch on the right it has a extra switch but i dont know what its for? can anyone help me? its the black switch on the right

I'm only guessing here, but the most likely functions are either coil-tap or phase inversion.

Select one of the pickups and listen closely for a change in the sound when you move the switch back and forth. If the switch is connected to a coil tap on that pup, the volume will drop, and the sound will get more trebly. Try both pups.

If there doesn't seem to be much happening with just one pup, select both of them, and play some runs with the mystery switch in either position. A phase switch will cause your guitar to sound a bit like a flanging pedal.

If this sorts it out for you, please post back to let us all know what that switch does.

I switched it back and forth and was listening for a sound and it does. its louder when its switched back and quieter when it forward. is this switch nessecary? because im looking at putting a sustainer on there. are they cheap to get?

"Necessary"? Only if you like what it does.

I'm not familiar with sustainers, but maybe someone who is can chime in.

Any piece of gear is only worth as much as your willing to pay for it.

well i know enough about sustainers and what i think you have is an afterburner or some kind of midi control and putting a sustainer on a midi controler can be a pain in the ass sometimes unless you have good wiring but if it was at home job wiring it will be a mess and why would you put a sustainer in that whats the point? sustainers are generally for fooling around in i used to have a guitar with a sustainer and i never found it useful for playing metal
