$550 for an ephiphone Joe Pass Emperor with case? It's a plywood top, but hey, can't find a carved top for less than a grand. If anybody happens to own this guitar (which i doubt, cause you guys are mostly metalheads, hehe) tell me how you like it, and how much you'd pay for it.

uhm,i suggest u to look out for 'ENCORE' guitar...that's it if u can find one in yer area. it's a LP look alike . way better than those LP specials ,believe me . it's a carved .two humbucker, 4 knobs. cheap ,around epi LP special price range.

i think A cort Larry Coryell model jazz guitar runs about $500. just put in a search on ebay for "jazz guitar" and you'll come up with some figures and can check your epiphone Emporer and see how much they're going for new and used.
