I have a 1992 Fender Amp and i want an AC/DC Ozzy Metal sound out of it but i just cant get it. it sounds too distorted OR way too clean. :mad: I play a Peavy holobody and im planning to get a Gibson SG. any suggestoins w/ the amp sound? PLEEZZEE reply!

Well, first of all, those guys used Marshall amps I believe. Fender is known for their awesom clean tones, although I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get an AC/DC sound goin. What pedals are you using? If you aren't using any, then that would be the problem. :rolleyes:

do just buy 'a pedal'. There is litterally hundreds of different pedals out there that all produce different sounds. I suggest if you arent sure what type of pedal to get, go for a digitial multi effect pedal. This way you can get all kinds of sounds from one device.

I wouldn't get a very high quality multi effects pedal though unless you have the dough to whip around. Its a great way to find the sound you're looking for, then do what you want from there. IMO individual pedals are better.

Is it a tube amp, or a solid state amp? As was mentioned before, those guys typically used Marshall amps. That's not saying you can't get the sound with your amp though. Here are some suggestions... turn your mids way up, and turn the gain down a little. Most people rarely use enough mids and almost always use too much gain.

All of what the above said, very good tip from PRSPlaya, but i have played around with a few fenders and i haven't found what i would call a ozzy distortion sound, but i have played around with this-

Its a great little pedal you will b able to get all the sounds you want out of this specialy if your looking for classic rock sounds, and some heavy tones.
you can get it for a good price on ebay.
