I'm really new to the guitar and stuff.
Like so new, i just learned what a fret is.
But anyways, i wanted to learn more
about my guitar cause i've never seen anyone
like it. So i looked for the brand, and well...
its not there. The brand is "Crescendo"
Does anyone know anything about
that brand? Because i did not just go
out and buy this guitar. Its old and i found
in in my basement. HELP?!

I've never heard of that brand but there are thousands out there. A lot of guitar company makes replica's of classic guitar body styles.

I've heard of a Crescendo brand guitar, but that's all. I don't know anything about them though. Sorry bud. You might get a better response if one of the mods will move this thread to the Gear Discussion section. If not, you could always delete your own thread and start a new one in the Gear Discussion section, but if you do, be sure you delete this one (double posting is against the rules here on GT).

If your wondering because you might think that it's valuable, the answer is most likely it's not.

By any chance does your Crescendo say anything (look inside the hole of the body) regarding "Tippin Guitars" or "Bill Tippin" by chance? If not, do you see any serial numbers anywhere on the guitar?
If you can answer yes to any of these, it's your lucky day.
Bill Tippin is a custom Luthier that builds some of the most distinctive and valuable handmade guitars ever produced. (Classed with Martin, Taylor, etc.....)
A Tippin "Crescendo" would run approx. $12,000 + these days..............
If you have a vintage model (Tippin started back in the late 70's), get it appraised..................
Good luck.....................................................

Is it possible someone could just find a Tippin in their basement? Talk about a find.

What does it say on the headstock, or in beginners terms, what does it say on the spot were you tune the strings. I know Crescendo makes some decent Strat knockoff guitars. Research some of the bigger name brand guitars like Fender Strat, Gibson Les Paul, and Gibson SG, those 3 are the biggest knock off brand guitars. You can learn a lot about them just based on what they model after.
