Anybody get the iPhone?

We got majorly screwed in Canada cause it's not coming out probably until December or later.

Just wondering if anybody got it and if it lived up to the hype.

hihi, can't stop laughing about this piece of marketing inginuity, the system specs are a joke compared to the price you're paying. Not only that, but you get a device that has the same abilities that any more-then-standard mobile phone has these days plus even some options considered standard don't even work :rolleyes:

yea i got 1 and i really like it but my family had to switch to at&t to get it because apple is all about exclusivity and i heard since it was so expensive that europe completly passed on the iphone but after they see how well they are selling in america they will probobly start selling them in europe and canada

the iPhone will be in stores here at the end of this year

though I like gadgets, I can't picture myself buying a phone for twice the money which only difference is a touchscreen :confused:

my study, which I'll finish next year, deals with brand experiences and brand designing, hence the critisism towards the product and the respect for Apple ;)

I'm gonna stick with my M3100 SPV for now. It's got a touchscreen, and a keyboard that slides out. I get the internet, email, media player, word / excel / blah and all sorts of things. It's a little PC.

I like Apple products, but until they come up with something that's a step ahead, I think I'll give it a miss. It looks nice, but seems to be a little lacking.

MY dad got it. I don't know much about it but I was watching him fiddle with it as I was showing him how to set it up (he always buys new technology and I always have to show him how it works) and its looks pretty nifty. I would have to play with it for 30 minutes to make a full judgement on it though. I still don't think its worth that much though, especially the whole $100 extra bucks for 4 more gigs. You can get a 250 gig harddrive for that much.

Nope, I see it as no more than a trend, the new "hot" thing to own. I don't plan on getting one either....
