I've been working on this for about 6 weeks now and it's getting close. I cut the body and the neck and did the paint job and aging myself.
Specs:
2-Piece Swamp Ash Body
2-Piece (slight Birdseye) Maple Neck
Original Floyd Rose
Schaller Tuners
1971 Quarter
I'm ordering the Dimarzio Virtual PAF and the 3-way switch that is screwed into the middle pickup cavity. I already have the red single coil for the neck position.
Here's a couple of pics! The reflectors cause the picture of the back to be dark.

Yup... you can see all the hype here www.evhgear.com.
They sell it for $25,000, I can't sell one at all.

It's finally complete and it feels and sounds great!
2-piece Swamp Ash Body made by me
2-piece Birdseye Maple Neck made and aged by me
Neckplate from Allparts. I need a Frankenstein Serial Numbered Plate 61071
Original Floyd Rose from a mid-80's Kramer Pacer
Aged Schaller Tuners I scored from a shop I found in Canada
3-way switch from Allparts that was modified a bit by me
Single Coil Pickup from a Jackson Guitar that I've been meaning to upgrade. I used the top of a red single coil cover for this and aged it some too.
Schaller Humbucker from the mid-80's Pacer that's about to get replaced with a Seymour Duncan Custom Shop 78 that I just got in a trade yesterday. I'll post sound clips of both pickups and see if anyone thinks there's a significant difference.
1971 Quarter that I just happened upon
500k Pot from Allparts
Tone Knob from my spare parts bin
Butchered pickguard I made from the middle of an old pickguard
Output jack and plate from Allparts
Strap eye-screws from the local hardware store
Reflectors that a buddy found and sent me
White duct tape from the local hardware store for the pick holder on the bottom horn and to hold the ground from the spring claw down
The paint is rattle can Lacquer for the black and white and the red is lacquer as well from Testor's with a final very thin coat of clear just to put it all together.
Mo better pics...

I know I missed a few things and there are a few mistakes in the strips, but I'm pleased and it's not unlike me to strip one down and start over.
Next up... I'm redoing my VHI and going old school with it this time. I've got a Seymour Duncan Custom Shop 78 that I scored in a trade on the way that I was going to put in my Frankenstein, but I think I'm going to put it in the VHI. I'm pretty happy with the pickup in it now.

Thats a sick looking axe dood. I hope to construct an axe when I get enough free time. I want to combine one of my old Ibanez guitars with a dean body and give it a custom wine red paint job and a black pickguard and make the face of it like an SG.

I was able to play an EVH/Fender Replica the other day. Nice, but that pricetag is insane. I can build 25 incredible guitars for that.
I'm doing the black/white version now; I got a SD EVH Custom 78 Pickup yesterday that I scored in a trade and it's going in it. I'll post pics as soon as I can.

In my endless pursuit of perfection I promptly dismantled and stripped Frankenstein II.
I learned a lot about the body of this guitar by holding the EVH Replica. I knew the heal was square on the Replica but didn't do that so that's one thing I changed. The other is the pickup cavity; there are some interesting things going on in there.
Here's a picture of the neck I made for #III; I have a little bit more work to do on this like locking nut holes and overall brutalizing.

I finished up the Franky! I ended up making a completely different neck and I installed a Seymour Duncan Custom Shop 78 Pickup in it and it screams!

As you can see I have a few other project guitars in the works too.
