Here is my latest guitar rig.
Complete rig (4string home built cbg and 1.5watt battery powered cigar box amp):

It all works pretty good. The amp is very responsive and I have a gain adjustment to get a real dirty sound or I can clean it up. Volume level is pretty good for a 1.5watt solid state amp. 9volt battery supply and my strat sounds pretty sweet through it. Perfect for the cbg's. I'm working on a 7watt version at the moment. Will probably upgrade from the 3" speaker to a 5 or 6". Also working on some new steel reinforced maple neck cbg's and a fretted version. This stuff is like crack. I need rehab or something. :D

Here is a quick sample of the guitar in action. It's rough (I'm learning how to play these) and not through the amp but is flat so no effects are added.

Perhaps the coolest, most blues-mojo-loaded thing I have ever seen!

The clip sounded great, as well - I really like that tone!

I think it's time for a cigar-box performance-sized combo and some cigar box effects processors :D

Thanks for checking it out guys.

LATS I lmao over that comment :D

ravenx495 that is a chair but it fits like 1.5 people. Ugly thing my wife had to have it but it doesn't match anything in the room. Very comfortable though I must admit.

jiujitsu_jesus, elklandercc, strat-man thanks for the kind works of encouragement. I'm working on some new ones in my spare time.

PRSplaya I actually sold a 3 string on ebay. I didn't charge enough for it but it was cool to see people are interested.

Fret spider they're a bit time consuming to make about 20 hours for a guitar and the new ones I'm working on will take a bit longer. However they aren't very hard to make if you have some basic tools and a place to work. Amps are simple if you can follow a schematic and solder on small PC Boards. If you decide to make one and need help I will do what I can. Just pm me if you have a problem. I check this site almost every day.

Oh boy what a handy job you got there... really great work and the sound clip is awesome, pretty nice tone, you should offer this sort of instruments to big studios like for especial effects stuff and some ceative work...

Once again, really nice stuff.

PS: be carefull cause your instruments may be under the laws of the cuban embargo :D

New guitar finished. It's not as pretty as the others. The box is a bit blah but it sounds pretty good. Hard Maple Necks are now the staple for my guitars. It's another 4 string. Should be on ebay by weekend. Some picks and a sound clip. Will try frets on next one I think.

I want that guitar... And that awesome little amp. I'll take just the amp if you don't want to part with the guitar, I'll understand...
Just kidding

But seriously, how did you build the amp? Care to indulge me?

If you want to build the amp you can get the info here. It's basically the same amp I built. I used a cigar box but you can use anything you like.

Amp Schematic (http://www.runoffgroove.com/ruby.html)

I recommend a P.C. Board rather than a perfboard. All parts where bought at my local Radio Shack. Let me know if you build it.

Checkout the "Little Gem" link too. That is the exact amp I built but I think the Ruby might have a better overdrive not as fuzzy as mine.
