If you guys could, I'd like people telling me how to post music I have made online. I made an impromptu recording about a month ago, and it was very low-quality for schmange, because he wanted me to--naturally, when the recording sucked, I heard about it.

Fair enough. Time to prove I know what's what---again, fair in and of itself--so just tell me about where I can post my music and how to do it, I'm pretty computer illiterate.

I don't have the proper equipment to go directly into the computer without a lot of recording latency problems. So, I'm going to be using my new BOSS 900 Digital studio to record the guitar and make a soundfile...I think. So, hope one--or most--of you is good at this, because you're all right, I shouldn't give advice without posting music. :)

There are a number of free sites that you can use to upload your mp3s and post them. eg:

www.purevolume.com
www.soundclick.com

You just have to sign up for an account.

Okay. There's no size limits or anything?

With purevolume I think the mp3s have to be under 8MB or something. Not sure about soundclick

10MB max on soundclick without a subscription.

Hey man, check out www.mp3unsigned.com - you get a few free songs then you can get a cheap VIP account if you have more. I find it easier to customise and more straight forward than soundclick. I also find the pages easier to navigate for listeners. At the end of the day it's good to use a few of them, I also have a page on soundclick and myspace.
PS Check out the mp3unsigned homepage... and look at the top left corner! Superhuman = featured artist of the week, yay! :)

Hi PlatonicShred,

If you are interested by posting your songs online, I would suggest you to check www.myspace.com. I have an account there, so if you have questions about anything, don't hesitate :)
