Internet radio may be driven out of business within weeks by a Copyright Royalty Board decision that gives record companies a royalty rate that exceeds 100% of most webcasters' total revenues...
Don't know if it'll help but there's an online petition:

Just curious if this might effect normal radio stations who also stream their broadcasts on the net? I frequently listen to a few of those too...like right now in fact.

Probably. The fees are so high that it wouldn't be cost effective to broadcast on the net.
Although the national broadcasters with tons of money would probably be ok as their advertising would help cover the costs. ... and besides.. who doesn't love listening to commercials every few minutes during your Celine Dion music.

Ughhh...that sucks. But I generally only listen to either talk radio or like now, public radio (online that is...Pandora's the bomb for real music).
I usually don't have the opportunity to listen, but every Sat night the classical station here has a show called Pulling Strings, which highlights guitar music. Check it out right now...here (http://kuhf.convio.net/site/PageServer?pagename=main_listenlive)

I tried to sign that petition, but since I'm Canadian I have no say in the state of the world. Sorry, chaps.

Same here, so I just used the Guitar Tricks zip code. I figure I work in the U.S. more than anywhere else in the world so I'm entitled to have my say regardless of where I physically live.
