I get this feeling sometimes;
When I hear a whole or a part of a song where all the instruments and the song and everything matches perfectly
I kind of shiver in my whole body.
It can be everything from rock to classical to hiphop(well maybe not hiphop) to you name it.
Now I am wondering if anyone else gets this feeling, it feels like the song grabs you and shake you around, its
really an experience!
by the way, listen to "Crazy Train" with Ozzy 10 seconds
before the solo starts and then the rest of the solo. Im shaking.

Heck yeah.
Turn off the lights, put on the headphones, have a coupla beers and before you know it, you're in another place entirely. It's a feeling you can't really describe in words.

and i thought that i was the only person alive to do that!
yeah, i do that a lot to some "staind" songs and to Some
blink-182 songs, and just for some songs that have really good chord proggresions to where the songs are built real good.(we call that talent).

Yea I know what your talking about. I think everyone goes through some kind of shake when they listen to a part of their favorite song. When I first heard 8:16 a.m. by 311, I had the same feeling and Epiphany by Staind.

Orgasmic music? Of course. Ya, I used to think getting out to the country; having utter silence was awesome. But then we move here, so now I don't even notice.

alot of dead songs do that for me, only i dont get shivers, i get this sorta psychadelia thing goin on. its like a natural extacy, sort of resembles when im playing really good (like on a solo or something) and the rhythm player is totally feelin the groove...i get that way then too.

I get into it, but no crazy psychadelia, and no feeling like i'm just going to let go.
music doesn't make me "cut loose" or "lose control to the beat" or anything exotic... see, it's more like it allows me to assemble and intertwine every element and fiber of my being into one. So i get very focused and very intent.
Part of the whole thing is that I can't dance. Not like I can't do the moves; I probably could, when I try I can. I just hate the feeling of dancing. I like the feeling of something like a martial art; again, focusing every part of my consiousness into something that makes me use myself fo rsomething.
holly, I understand you on the country thing... I spent a part of my childhood in Madras, Oregon (go look it up on Mapquest, nothing for miles around but tractors, cattle, and sage brush), before the internet was available... ugh... it was pretty, and could be relaxing, to a certain point. Then it just drove you nuts.

That also happens to me, but also with other forms of art.
I can't tell you how many plays, Musicals, or concerts I've been to where this has happened. Les Mis, Billy Joel, and others.
The strange thing is - this pretty much only happens for me at live performances that I'm actually at!!
