ive been muckin around with my sisters ancient keyboard...its the best alternative to owning a piano...sooo ive been thinking of getting a new keyboard with at least 61 keys...learning this thing taught me how to read sheet music as well without having to drag myself to do it...anyone plays this as well? i would love some suggestions on some models i could look at for a beginner...

thanks!

I have a M-Audio midi keyboard that's only 49 keys but has been a blast to play around with. I'm sure there are a ton of full sized boards out there that can be had for less than $100, but I really am no expert on which one is the best.

I have something similar to this ebay item. No It's not me selling this, I'm just giving this link as an example.

http://cgi.ebay.com/YAMAHA-PSR-280-KEYBOARD-ADAPTOR-STAND_W0QQitemZ220073317861QQihZ012QQcategoryZ38091QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item220073317861

I really like it for the $$. Velocity sensitive keys, great grand piano sound as well as many other interesting sounds. Also I use it as a MIDI controller in SONAR and it can trigger any of these sounds.

It's not built like a tank so I'd assume that taking it on the road would result in damage unless you had a road case.

As I said, for the $$ I don't think you could go wrong.
