Check this (http://www.deanguitars.com/dave_mustaine.php) out, it's Dave Mustaine's new signature guitar. Looks sweet! You can also hear a track from the forthcoming Megadeth album.

Oh geez, dont get me started on this rant. Dave sold out to Dean guitars. Whata bummer... I thought ESP was the new Jackson, but I guess not. The DV8 was the best signature model of his yet, and how he comes out with this POS Dean. The quilted V looks cool, but the regular one looks like a cheep $200 beginner's guitar. I wonder why he changed from to Dean so abruptly. He just came out with the Axxion a little more than a year ago.
I predict Dean or "Dime" guitars to be the biggest guitar distibutor by 2010.
No offense Jesus, im just a Deth-head who's really bad :p

Haha, none taken at all. Being a fellow 'Deth-head and an ESP (well... LTD :o) player myself, I can see where you're coming from. In fact, the main reason I linked to that page is that you can hear a track from the forthcoming Megadeth album, rather than because I like Dave's new guitar. The special edition one is indeed quite awesome, but ESP overall make better instruments IMO. Even if Dave sold out to Dean, I won't! :p

One good thing that came out of this was that now the ESP line has launched a V-series that is the exaxt same asethetics to the DV-8. IMO, the DV-8 is the coolest flying V around. So we can how get the same guitar for half the price cause it doesnt have Dave's name it anymore.
BTW, where is the link to their new song, I cant seem to find it.

Unfortunately, the new Vs have active pickups: I liked 'em better when they had the old Seymour Duncans or whatever they were.
Aargh, when I first linked to the page, it had a media player with the song on it. If you go to the Dean Homepage, there will be a media player there, and it ought to be on that. If not, just skip through the tracks until you get to "Gears of War".

Yea that the only bad thing. Also it only comes in black, I wish it came in that white and silver the DV-8 came in.
Thats a pretty cool song. Im really glad Megadeth always sticks to their roots and never changes too drastically.

Yeah, it's good that they mostly stick to their strengths. The only time they strayed was on Risk, and even that had some kickass songs, like "Prince of Darkness" and "Wanderlust".

I am a die hard Megadeth fan, seen them 8 or so times on concert. Always loved his guitars. But this???? I am not a big fan of Dean and this one aside from the headstock reminds me of those cheap Dime V's. Think I will stick with ESP/LTD and Schecter!!!!
