Watching TV today with my wife Alien Ant Farm were on singing smoote criminal (excellent it is ) and in the lyrics he sings are Annie are you ok many times.
She insists that there is another record out there with Annie are you ok in the lyrics as well as the above mentiond.
So my QUESTION to solve a dispute is, what the bloody hell is it if indeed she is right.
My second question is if she is right do I tell her??????

I think you mean "Eddie are you ok,". And the song is a cover of an old Jackson song.

It's Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson.
sheesh... am I really so old that nobody else remembers this?
I mean isn't it kinda obvious from all the references in the video?

I'm not really keen on A.A.F, i'm just indiffirent to them.
I didn't like "movies" at all though (the sinlge before this one)...

Jackos version is Eddie. I have no idea what that idiot says, I think he says Eddie too its just his accent that makes it sound sorta like Annie. When I first heard it I thought it was 'Addy' so you could be right I dont know.

Love the response Led Zep, he he he. Dead pan on the net works so well because it can be so hard to figure out if they are being sarcastic or not, I love it.

Right, thanks to all and have decided that she's right for and easy life, and not being a Jackson fan at all would never have known without asking.
Not sure what blackrose is on about, but I got the info I was after. Thanks again.

jackson sucks and should be banned from the musical world.

Jackson should be banned from the musical world? Judging by the way you post I'd say you're the kind of guy who has this "list" of all the good bands and all the bands that "suck". I think this is hilarious. Because when I first started playing I thought the only good bands were Metallica, Pantera, Anthrax, and Megadeth. Now, of course, I don't listen to any of those bands except for the occasional Pantera. I'm curious. Who exactly do you have on this list?

I know i'm probably alone in saying this, but ther was an era when michale jackson started puting out some realy cool stuff like "beat it" , "bille-jean", "smooth criminal" and "thriller"... i personally like like the strange disco meets funk sound... even though i'm not too big on disco..
Doesnt Michale Jackson have that thing that makes his skin go different colours?......... i can't remember what it's called... oh yeah, MONEY!
I alos pretty sure that Cher is all chopped up bit s from Jackos plastic surgery put together...

The only "list" I have as far as music goes is that shaded red is good and jackson is bad.

I'm with you on that one educatedfilm. I think that Jackson's early solo recordings are probably the best pop songs ever written. I don't care what type of music I'm listening to. If it's a well written song, chances are, I'll like it and I'll listen to it.

I listened to Michael Jackson as a kid, but not so much anymore. But you've got to admit that this guy is very talented, he just has that special knack for songwriting, because he's been doing it all of his life.
And he really has a love for music, something that can't be said for a lot of musicians today. With the new cover version from 'Alien Ant farm,' it gives the younger generation of listeners a chance to experience a really powerful song. However, Like I said, I havent listened to his stuff in a long time, but every now and then I get the urge to play that (Eddie V) solo from "beat it," I swear this is some of his bestwork there. Very quick, to the point, and powerful. The first time I heard that solo, it literally blew me away!!!

You may feel justified in some strange way saying that MJ sucks (probably based on a National Enquirer type bias...the same way people put down George Michael mainly cause he's gay etc..) but you gotta admit, the musical technology and quality of the recordings is about the best you can get.
Personally, I purchase a lot of instrumental 12" copies of MJ stuff and the promotional Monster Cable instrumental recordings just blow me away.

Wow!. it's so good to see guitarist whoaren't biased against stuff like MJ's... All my freinds who play guitar, are metal heads or alt rockers, and i get laughed at for listening to anything out side the relm of rock music...
To be honest i think sometimes when we hear a song that sounds good by a band we dont like, and so we tend to have something against the song, which doesn't really make anysense, cos at the end of the day a good song is good song.
I thought the MJ solos were great too...
Admitidly though MJ has go down hill fast lately, his new stuff is dire.

I will admit that MJ has talent as far as music goes and that his early stuff was ok...I just think that musicians should be known for producing good music than for humping little kids.

Well this is off topic, but in regards to the kid humping thing... anything these days that mentions sex involving children whether it's true or not turns into a modern day witch hunt. All you gotta do is accuse somebody of being involved with children and you immediately ruin that persons career because the media jumps all over it. As far as the MJ thing is concerned, it seems a hell of a lot more likely that accusations were made strictly for the money they'd get out of it.
