The poll is just for the winner of the Superbowl, but feel free to post other predictions if you want. And if you turn out right, you get rep...yea!

I couldn't care less about football, and I couldn't know less about American football. I just like the idea of getting rep for making a guess. :)
I voted for Seattle, because "seahawks" makes me laugh.

Really? The look or phonics of the word itself or the conjured image?

Since my Broncos are out I think I'll go with AFC West pride and take the Chargers. Baltimore could be tough though. Chicago in the NFC.

Yeah, I think the NFC team is Chicago too. And for the record I voted for Ravens to take it. We'll see...especially in AFC those teams are a toss-up.

I have to believe in my Eagles. Being from and living in Philly for almost 40 years it's the only thing I know. Yes being an Eagles fan is tough, We believe that the sorrow and heartache that we have been conditioned with will only make us stronger and more passionate, Therefore WHEN we finally do win the SuperBowl it will be that much sweeter.
My prediction for today's game
Eagles-35
Saints-32
GO BIRDS!!!!!

I'm rooting for the Eagles 100%, I grew up in philly so naturally I'm a big fan. But as much as I like the Eagles, I think its the Bears or mabey he Colts this year. But if the Eagles win today and the Bears lose, I get to go to the next game cause its gonna be a home game. :)

I'm gonna have to give the edge to the Chargers. Rivers and LT are a dangerous combo. I'd give the Pats an edge also.

I'm probably the luckiest sports fan alive right now... I live exactly an hour and a hlaf from Chicago and an hour from Indy.... I've always been a Bears fan but I have to support the homestate team as well!! They could potentially be playing in the SuperBowl.... haha

RAVENS BABY!!!! They've easily got the most dominant defense in the league and McNair has the experience and the poise to lead the offense in the big games. And we've seen in the past few years that strong defensive teams have lots of success in the playoffs. The Ravens have the perfect combination of power, athleticism and veteran leadership on both sides of the ball. Go RAVENS!

I don't watch or keep track of any sports so I voted for the chargers based entirely on their record.

Yeah, that was kinda lame...and I picked 'em too! :o Their D looked pretty good, but nothing on the other side. Earlier in the year I was actually rooting for the Colts somewhat, in that they always seem good early, but lose it in the playoffs. Maybe it's finally their year? Prolly not if they can't manage a td of their own either though.

You know something special is happening with the colts if they've won two straight games where their supposed "One Man Show" has thrown just 1 touchdown pass and 5 interceptions... I'd look out for the Colts.... Of course I'm a little biased. But I'm not afraid to say they suck when they suck... and the last 4 weeks or so of the season... THEY SUCKED. The D has carried them the last two games... and that's HUGE for Peyton and the offense.
If we can get the Pats to upset San Diego (longshot)... We'll have home field advantage against the Pats in the Conference championship!!!
As for the Bears... If their defense plays the way the have in the past... and NOT the way the have the past 5 weeks... They should be alright. There isn't a team in their conference that can beat them when Grossman is on and the D is on... and they're in Chicago... and snow is on the way.... New Orleans wouldn't have a chance.

Well my Eagles are out of it :( and I just realised that I know nothing about the rest of the league. I need to watch more games than just the birds next year.

I think it may possibly be the Colts year. If they can throw together that d and the typical Colts offense on the same day, nobody is gonna touch em.
PS-Nobody has voted for the Patsys. How much ya wanna bet they win? Tom Brady scares me in the post season.

Well the Chargers failed miserably. Colts-Pats again? Weird. I'm going for the Saints now! haha.

I'm pullin for Peyton and his boys and I think they could get it done, provided the d keeps up strong.

Yeah, those were some great games yesterday! Both came down to the wire.
Even though there's fewer teams left, I think it might be even harder to say who's a definitive favorite now. They're all pretty good in some manner. I guess if we really knew who would win, it wouldn't be worth watching in the first place. But really I'd like to see any team but the Patriots take it. I guess the Saints would make a good comeback story...but that just reminds me of how bad the Texans are still.
