I listened the solo like 4 times and the another video but with a improvised solo at the begining. I love that violin tone. How can u get that kind of tone?

Sit and practice for years and years.... haha

He uses the volume control on his guitar which about the hardest way to get that tone. I use a volume pedal to duplicate it... He's just sick though... Watching him play that song just scares the hell out of me...

they show him on a little "squire " amp shred a blues riff.(to tell us the amp does not make the player??) his album "a new day yesterday" is kick butt. he does a cover of the tull song as well.

Blues Deluxe is my personal favorite of his. Also check out the band that he was in called Bloodline... it was a lineup of the sons of a bunch of famous musicians... The drummer was Miles Davis' son, the bass player was the son of the bass player from The Doors, I believe Joe Bonamassa's dad played with Allman Brothers... and some others.

seems he mentioned in the Tom Dowd documentary something about his dad....but i don't remember what it was.... :confused: but if he played in Bloodline he must be descended from some musician.

Joe is great. Kenny the drummer and Eric the bassist are no longer playing with Joe. I've seen them play about 6 times, and had the opportunity to meet them all. Very very cool guys.

That was fantastic! I love the way he uses decorated arpeggios in a way that sounds earthy and bluesy. He's got a good voice as well.

It's a pity the bassist is no longer playing with him, because he's great, too. I once saw a video of him and Joe playing a funky-blues sort of thing, and he played some great lines.
