How was things on your first gig?
Smooth?
Well if it was, youre one of the few lucky people
on earth who have experienced that.
Maybe I will tell you about my first gig sometime...

Ive been in about 4 bands before because they all were gay, but i also play for the youth band at my church. and it so happened that my first gig that we played was when we traveled to Flagstaff for a week.(i was so nervous.). but on the first night, not even halfway through a song my stap fell off and of course i felt real stupid. that will never happen again!!!!

My first was horrific, I forgot two songs, the drummer was hit during the break for blowing kisses at a girl who,s boyfreind was sat with her (drummers are thick as pig **** in my opinion but we got rid of he seemed to be suicidel too).

But all in all it was alright cos we got paid and booked again, minus the drummer.

Question to Snacktruck - what is gay, is it an american term for crap, we here terms somtimes and don't quite understand em.

It went pretty well, but it was the second gig that really went bad. I guess as musicians, you really have to have a strong level of persistene. Because critics from all over the world will come and go, they'll go out of their ways to tell you how much they think you suck, but what truly matters is how you feel. You have to establish a strong relationship with your fellow bandmembers to do whatever it takes to constantly improve your sound on and off stage. A few bad experiences wont kill you, just make you stronger.

I could go on for hours on how many bad experiences I've had with drummers over the past several years, but I'll spare you guys the details. Just remember, before you make him join the band, have him play more than two songs, from various different styles.

Open Mic Night, the Crossroads in South Royalton, VT. Some whiney assed neigbor called the cops. It was the bar's first noise complaint. But most of the people there liked it.

how many bassists does it take to change a light bulb?
no matter how many you have, you'll need a guitarist by the end anyway

What's the difference between a drummer and a drum machine? You only have to puch the info into the drum machine once.

Why is a drumsolo like a sneeze?
You know its coming, but you cant do anything about it!

How do you confuse a drummer?
Stop him in the middle of a song and ask what song hes playing.

-Mom, I want to be a drummer when I grow up!
-Well son, you cant do both.

How do you double a drummers IQ?
Take away his drumsticks..
