Even if they put out a new CD would it fly with todays sound and style of music?

I'm no Van Halen fan, but I think they would probably find a niche in the market today. Classic hard rock is having a bit of a revival at the moment, and I think a new Van Halen CD would probably be very popular with their large cult following. That is to say that a new release from VH would be successful - I don't know whether it would be any good!

I don't know whether it would be any good!I dont think they can get away from that 80s sound. Maybe if they went Raw like the early stuff ya know without the multi layers, heavy process guitars.
Strip it down Eddie. Just a Guitar and a Cranked JCM800 Miked! This might work? :)

I think it would sell like hotcakes. Really. They might not appeal to today's morons, but there are millions of folks waiting hands on feet for them to come out with something.

Vinnie Abbot said he started a new band and already have a cd due out. He go his inspriation back to play when he was jammin' with some members of Van Halen. Vinnie didn't say who was in the band, but its possible that some of Halen included.

I wish bands that were once groundbreaking and cool would just quit while they're ahead of the game. It sickens me how the Who have a new (and supposedly terrible) album out. I'd feel the same if Van Halen did it.
Ha, I just noticed I'm wearing my Van Halen t-shirt that I bought on their 2004 tour.
