i just bought my 1st eletric guitar
sounds great! fun! on top of the world WOOO
i just bought the new micro cube from roland
and hv a few question with it :D i noob :)
wat are jc clean, black panel, and R Fier?
and efx ( flanger phaser tremolo?)
delay, reberb?
Nice one dude - what guitar did you get?
On the microcube - the jc clean / black panel / r fier are amp models based on the jazz chorus, fender blackface and mesa boogie rectifier (not sure which one). You'll find they have different sounds, so just play with them all - different ones are good for different things. I like the rectifer one, but it is pretty full on!
The effects are hard to describe - again, playing with the settings is the best way to learn... each have their place

The JC Clean, Black Panel, Rectifier... etc... are all amp models... The Cube emulates the sounds of different amps. The phaser, flanger, chorus, delay and all that are the effects... The best way to get use to a certain piece of gear is to mess around with it so you can figure out what features are useful to you. Also it's a good idea to glance through the owners manual so you can find all the features. Sometimes there are features that are harder to use than others... Good Luck with the Roland Cube and the electric guitar.

i bought squier strae from fender its fretty cheap and i think its a good start up guitar .. :D
the jc clean and black panel seems to hv same sounds lol XD
i cant difrentshape it
and yeh meddling is fun im getting over it
by the way any simple way to understand the "gain" and "volume"?
easiest way to think of it is that gain is how hard you're driving the amp, and volume is how loud you've got the speaker...

I don't think I've ever punched myself in the face as hard as I just did a minute ago.

the lever you are moving is selecting differant pickups on your guitar, differant pickups pick up differant sounds along the string, the one near the neck is usually smooth and warm and the one near the bridge bright and twangy

It'll cost about $15, 000
For the effects, i'd reccomend doing a search of this forum, there's tons of great stuff, probably answers to all your questions.

Well, it was kind of a joke. I just meant that Santana's gear is worth thousands of dollars.
You could do searches like "Santana tone" on google, or find out what gear he uses, and find the closest model on your cube amp.

Why The **** Roland Microcube Dont Hv Equilizer?!
Andrew Sa

well, the micro-cube is the least expensive of the cube range, so it lacks a few of the settings and controls that the other cube amps have.
You must just mess about with your settings until you find sounds you like, then write down waht settings you used and remember that setting.
There really is no way to approximate the sounds of certain guitar players, you can fiddle until you come close, but at the end of the day, Carlos Santana sounds like Santana because he is Carlos Santana...I on the other hand sound like Andrew Harrison, because I am Andrew Harrison, however, if I try, I can sound like Andrew Harrison, trying to sound like Carlos Santana...oh look I started talking **** guys!

This is actually the fun part. Turn on the clean amps (blackface for exmaple)an use it on the neck pick up (put the lever on the guitar towards the fretboard) and mess around with the volume and tone knobs on the guitar, this way you would get a bluesy tone (round bassy friendly sound).
Or if you're more into the hard side turn to the r-fier amp, use the bridge pick up (lever toward the back of the guitar) and start putting the tone and volume control to the max (for a heavy agressive sound) and ou can get fun too putting down the volume for a less agressive sound, but for a bit soft and overdriven sound for a clear solo or phrase.
I'm more into metal but have a lot of fun playing those dirty overdriven sounds, your S-caster must give you a lot of sounds so, fool around with it, turn knobs up and down, and play lower register notes and high register ones, in different settings till you find something you like or find usefull.
