acoustic EQ

whenever I use my acoustic Ovation through my amp, I kinda lose my high end tone and just get bass. Even when bass and mid are down and high is up on my amp. My guitar also sound somewhat boring. is their a pedal that can boost the high EQ and enhace the tone? don't say practice, either.

I have an acoustic I have been trying to amplify.

my experience has been that an acoustic thru an electric amp sounds lousy. i tried the fender and the swr acoustic amps and they are all very nice.

in your case, check the ovation for an eq and make sure the treble isn't turned down.
also, I think ovation eqs might take a battery, does yours?

if these things check out, take the ovation to a guitar store and try an acoustic amp.
if it still sounds bad there, the problem is your pickup.

fishman pickups are very good.
