Epiphone Les Pauls

Does anybody know the difference between the Epiphone Les Paul Standard ($379.99) and the Epiphone B-Stock Les Paul Standard ($299.99) guitars?

I think B-stocks are guitars that were somehow flawed (however slightly) when being made. Just little stuff like maybe a chip somewhere.

yeah, B-stock is the same as standard stock, just with small cosmetic glitches...usually I chip or crack in the finish.

If you're in the market for guitars it's important to know what B-Stock is... Especially if you're shopping at stores or online sites that aren't owned by the Guitar Center family (Guitar Center and MusiciansFriend.com)... Because they do a nice job of making sure their blem guitars are sold as such... Other places may try to sell you B Stock guitars for the regular price and hope you're none the wiser... If the product is marked as "B stock" it will most likely be stamped "2nd" or "Used" on the back of the headstock. Common reasons for marking Blem guitars is because of finish blemish's like runs, bubbles, or cracking... Most B-stock guitars have very very very minor imperfection which may go unnoticed for years until the guitar starts to age... I recommedn B stock guitars for anyone that is a serious musician... especially if you're going to gig the guitar... but not if you're a serious collector... obviously... In most cases... the blem guitars aren't damaged bad enough to justify the large discount... but they are blem guitars none the less. On problem about buying on Ebay is people that try to sell 2nd guitars for the normal price... so watch out for that. And always ask questions... Another suggestion would be to never buy a blem guitar unless you can visually inspect and play the guitar yourself.
