i say murder...preferably with pitchforks
It looks like a standard strat.... and his playing isn't very super... so it's a standard strat... :D
'Superstrat' would be guitars like Jackson soloists, Ibanez RGs etc.... strats on steroids...
mmmmm.... flat bends..... nice.....
Is the guy in the video you? All 3 of your posts here so far are of that guy 'playing'.... ;)
Someone should buy the dude in the video a subscription.... or cut off his hands....

Come on Gent's. Isn't that being a little harsh? I must admit that I laughed when he asked "how can I be still be living in my parent's basement playing like this"? At least it's free!!!! Most guitarist's are dreamers anyway!!! After 20+ years I still find myself spinning off Rhodes!!!!!!! Even after an original fling, I find myself going back to those triplicate runs and riffs he mastered sooooooo well. Even trying to change them up, they never sound as good. Not even close. Sometimes I wish that I never even heard them before.
If Rhodes was on that video and all of our mouths were on the floor, I could understand wanting to punch him as he laughed at us!!!!!!

I thought it was funny...
I think it was supposed to be, he's spoofing all the guitar instructional videos of guitar gods just showing off for 45 minutes, like when he did the "power riff" thing and it was the super quick shot of his hand in the air "make your hand like this.. and put it hear" and thats all the explaination you get. its funny cause thats basically what a lot of those videos are. It was supposed to be funny and not a real insrtuctional video, and yes he was very sloppy. The comment at th end about still living in his parents basement might be referring to the fact that all these great guitar players can master technique but none of them are capable of attraching a mainstream audience with thier music, Satch is probably the biggest as far as popularity and I'd say only 1 in three ppl have even ever heard of him. But I dont know its just a funny video, even if the guitar playing is slightly annoying...

I agree. I think it's just a parody and a good one at that. Made me laugh. Truth is, I've had an instructor very close to that. He LOVED to sit there and tear through something and then look at me and say 'Okay, put your fingers here and then make like this..."
Our student-teacher relationship did not last very long.

The powerchord part was the funniest. Its so funny cause its so true how some people just do that...
Makes Stratocasters sound bad :(

I'm pretty shocked so many of you think that guy's making a real instructional video. Watch his hands, they don't even match up with the notes a lot of the time. This is a joke in the most literal sense.

Ok, Im not really into this style of shredding, but I can tell it wasnt great. Yes, He's certainly seasoned... Though any student of his is SOL.... ;). He doesnt really convey anything... He just says "Ok, this is how THIS scale goes!".... Uh, no. Simply, no.
