Here's one I wrote a couple of weeks ago. Even though I have music for this song, I don't think I'm physically able to play and sing it the way I imagine it, so it may very well go no further than this page. Hope ya like it.
To one who watches from afar
His Madness stands his autumn guard
The smell of death is on His hands
It mingles with forgotten plans
And as the world comes crashing
I hear a deep deep sigh
Call it a crime of passion
or an abcess on my mind
I am always chewing on a wound,
enjoying every second bite
and if the world won't follow through,
put a smile in a dead bird's eye
A flash of black into the night
and I thought the light was mine
Sometimes your thoughts hold true
Sometimes the emptiness is due
To one who watches from afar
His Madness stands his autumn guard
The smell of death is on His hands
It mingles with forgotten plans
And as the world comes crashing
I hear a deep deep sigh
Call it a crime of passion
or an abcess on my mind
I am always chewing on a wound,
enjoying every second bite
and if the world won't follow through,
put a smile in a dead bird's eye
A flash of black into the night
and I thought the light was mine
Sometimes your thoughts hold true
Sometimes the emptiness is due
