'Guitar Techniques'...

That's a great one! I loved the blues issue in July.

Total Guitar is alright.

Out of the ones I've read (Guitar World, Acoustic Guitar, and Fingerpicking) my favourite is Guitar World. It's the only one that seems like a real magazine with, you know, funding. And contains information.

'Guitar Techniques' would be the one I consider best.

I loathe 'Total Guitar', or 'Trivium Guitar' as it could be more accurately called.

Of the American mags, I quite like 'Guitar World'.

I like Guitar World because it basically sticks to rock and dabbles in some blues/classical ect. The only thing I don't like about it is having emo guitarist on the cover just because they're new and its a current fad, they need to stick with good guitarists.

Guitar One >>>>>>>>Guitar world. Hands down. Complete pwnage.

It's got begginner, intermediate and advanced lessons. It has NEVER had a back pages column written by good charlotte (guitar world), and is more personal with better writers and editors.

Guitar world=Pop princess crapola with the occasional gem.

I've been playing for a long time and without a doubt, the best mag on the market is the British "Guitar Techniques".

Alot of different techniques are covered - rock, blues metal, jazz. country, etc. I've got just about EVERY issue since it started 12 or 13 years ago and it's a fantastic library of information.

Yeah. Total Guitar is written like a comic, and the 'advanced' lessons usually mean Nirvana / Green Day tracks...

Guitar Techniques - if they say 'advanced', you know you're in for some work..... I get that and guitarist each month - Techniques is good for the mechanical aspect of playing, but there isn't as much to sit and read as there is in Guitarist....

'Total Guitar', or 'Trivium Guitar'

yeah i can see what u mean and as the comic appearance is true, i like it as just a mag as in gear reviews but that just me

i would buy a proper guitar book if i wanted advanced lessons
