Ska/Reggae Sound

How do I get that ska/reggae upstroke sound? I'm interested in getting the sort that of Area 7 sound. It's so damn fast and I was wondering if there is a trick to it... Thanks

call it coincidence but today i was going into town and the song "it must be love" came on the radio and i thought the exact same thing. the only thing i can sugest is low gain, high treble, low middle, mid/low bass and no reverb what so ever. however i found that it is more the guitar sound than the amp. also don't use any pedals, i think it will make it worse but i havent tryed it yet.

Thanks. I thought that it would have a fair amount of treble in it. It probably depends on the guitar you're using as well. I just got an epiphone les paul. I haven't tryed to get that sound out of it yet, but that's how i thought it would be done.
