I have an outdoor picnic in the next couple of weeks and wanted to provide some louder music to the group. Is it possible to run a multiple CD changer through a Marshall JCM2000. If so, how do you run the cables.

Well.. first of all I wouldn't recommend doing it.
Guitar amps and speakers are meant to reproduce a certain frequency.
But CD's go all the way from 20hz to 20,000. You might get it louder but it's going to be very midrangy sounding, and there's a good chance the bass would crap out your speakers enough to actually damage them.

If you're intent on doing it though, you'll need an RCA stereo male plug to 1/4" mono female adapter and just a regular guitar cable.

I have done it before, you will make a LOT of noise! I did it with an old Peavey bandit (112 W) and could be heard on the other side of the village !

The trick is to run the CD outs into the FX loops return which you have to set to line level.

You also need to sum the L and R outputs from the CD player. Best way to do this is with a desk or something that can accept a stereo in and will reduce to to a mono out.

Schmange it totally right about the speakers / cabs, if it starts sounding distorted, ease back on the volume !
