Unwanted "ultrasone" noise on 24th fret.

The Bridge may be too low. You may be getting the beginning of a fret buzz. You really need to figure out what the string is toughing between the bridge and the 24th fret. If you're getting an odd sound chances are it's hitting something when you stike it.

maybe your bridge needs to be tuned up.
I think they call it tuning up the bridge but I am not sure. You know those screws with the springs on them on the bridge.
but unless you know how to do it I
would take it to a proffesional to tune
the bridge.

Ok, here is the problem.
When i play a high E (24th fret on the E high E-string), i get this really anoying very high-pitched sound, like you would play a A.H. on the fret. I can't get it to sound like a normal note on the 24th fret would.

Oh yeah, the older and dirtier my strings get, the clearer that note becomes.

I don't think it has something to do with my amp settings or my technique.
And there doesnt seem to be something wrong with my guitar.

Well, if anyone knows what wrong with me guitar, or knows what i am doing wrong, let me know!

The same thing happened to me. what you should do is look at the pickup closest
to the neck of your guitar.Now fret the string at the 24th fret.look to see if the string is touching your pickup.
What I did was adjust my pickup down
to where a clear sound would ring out.
Does anyone have another idea.

That isnt the problem i think, my neck pickup is already as low as it can get, cause it gets in the way of my pick while soloing.

My bridge isn't too low i think, i dont like too low action, and i never have problem with the strings touching the frets.

There isnt anything that touches the string between the 24th fret and the bridge, that's why i dont know what to do about it.
It also makes the same noise when i bend the upto the same note.

Hmmm...if it isn´t the guitar, amp , or technique what else could it be?

I'll just stay away from that damned fret for now.

Maybe.. just maybe .... Your pickups can't handle that frequency. Especially if the same things happens both when hitting that e and bending up to it. if nothing else is the culpret I would suspect the pickups.

Just give up and take it to a tech. I don't think it can be solved here. Some problems just aren't meant to be fixed by guitarists. http://www.guitarforums.com/gtubb/smile.gif

i have aproblem like that, do you use distortion when this happens or does it happen alll the time?

Yeah, when i use dist. it gets worse, but i even get that sound un-amplified.

But its strange how it goes away when my strings get older.

Maybe the fret is too high at that point. Try cheking the intonation a that fret just like you would at the 12th. You may need a truss rod adjustmet too.
