I am thinking of buying one of these 2 Models , the Ibanez JS1000 or a Peavey HP Special , and would be grateful of pros and cons of each choice .
My music interests are more rock , blues , & jazz , if that helps .
Or are there better options ?
hi spray, i can"t speak for the peavy as i have not played one , but the ibanez js 1000 is a nice guitar, very light, 22 frets-replica of joe's neck on model's made after 2000 i believe, good pick-ups with coil taps-real tremolo that does stay in tune-i am no expert but this guitar is a 9 out of 10
hope this helps you,
tsi

Thanks for the info tsi .
I have been doing alot of research on both models and have found , that the JS 1000/1200 seem to have a little better versatility .

define jazz.
i would hardly call the js1000 fit for playing jazz.
i'd suggest something more like an epi casino or heritage h 535.
actually, focusing more on the blues and jazz aspect, the heritage h535 would be perfect. it's normally not as expensive as a gibson es335 and it's twice the quality.
and it's more than qualified to rock out, too.
/ignore the shredders when talking blues or jazz.
