What does presence mean in musical terms?

Are you talking about the Presence control in the eq section of your amp? Those are the frequencies higher than the highs. Makes things bright when turned up.

I was reading about the Tonebone and a reviewer said that it increased his "presence".

It boosts selected upper frequencies to give your guitar a little more bite.
It's sorta like a treble control except it works on different frequencies.
