I just bought a new Ovation and when I played it at home for the first time, I cried. This isn't my first Ovation. My first Ovation's history is much like my own history. I purchased an Ovation Ledend back in the late 80's while I was living with my first long time boyfriend. After a fight, he put his foot through it. I was able to repair the damage and make the guitar playable, but it was pretty damaged. Years later, after I met and married my husband, I had to sell my broken down guitar to pay the bills since my (now ex) husband had refused to get a job for months.
Well... here I am. Recently divorced and very happy. Although I hope to never forget the many mistakes and bad choices I made while I owned my old Ledend, my new ovation has brought me new happiness. My my experienced music brother gave me advice on buying a new guitar, he said, don't worry about the cost... if it's what you want.. get... and have fun with it! And I am.
