strings

hey guys, I love this forum deal, anyways, I am lookin for advice on a set of strings. I need new ones and I didn't really like the set I got last time. I got SIT 10's. I just want to know what everyone thinks a guy that's been playin for 6 months or so should use. I also need advice on strings for a bass, brand, size, all that, so anyone that has anything they like personally, let me know.

For electric guitar I like a lot Blue steel, Fender and Ernie Ball...also GHS are quite good.
I use for my Telecaster light gauge 009/046
instead for my Les Paul 010/046
It's important to use always same gauge with the same guitar,
so if you use 009/046 you must always use it.
Or you just have to regular your neck for different gauge.
For acoustic guitar I like GHS, Martin, Martin SP and Guild,
I use 012/054 or 013.

P.S:always remember to polish strings after you played...
