my fender showmaster for some reason is sounding like a tin can, a couple of day ago it was fine, now it's just awful. when i plug it in, the sound is even worse. it's not one of the frets, i can figur out where the sound is coming from.
it has been really hot the last couple of days, maybe it has something to do with it?

and yes its in tune.

any idears?

The heat shouldn't make a guitar sound tinny. I've played in some pretty hot countries and never had that problem.

You say it sounds tinny even before you plug it in? In that case it's not the electronics. How's the action? Sometimes if the action is low you get not so much a fret buzz, but more of a metallic overtone to the notes. The heat could certainly get to the action and neck relief.

i have narrow down the problem to the G string, ill change the string, later today. if that doesn't help, then i have absulotly no idea what it can be.

i've change all the strings, did'nt help at all.
it sound like the first guitar i made when i was 5, made it out of a tin can and some fishing line. really awful.

It does sound like there's something loose and rattling, buzzing - I've never seen a Showmaster - does it have a tremelo arm ?
