15 watt EQUALIZATION SETTING...

i know i have to tweak it myself but its giving me a hard time :(
im playing with a 15 watts guitar amp i just want to know an equalizatiopn setting (low high med)... well i play emo/punk rock stuffs like fob, fftl, mcr hope that helps.. thanks

if you want a really steriotypic hard rock sound, get on your distortion channel, crank your bass and treble, and cut your mids almost all the way.

what happens if you crank the mids and loose the highs and lows with distortion? does it screw with the distortion, or is it just the rock artists who choose not to do this?

nah, try it and see. your mids just give a specific contour to your overall sound. all mids and nothing else... well, it doesnt sound all that pretty. but that goes the same for all bass and nothing else, or all treble and nothing else.

me personally, my distortion channel settings go like this: lows on 6, mids on 3.5, highs on 8.5.

on one thread that I cant find at the moment, Lats went in detail about how to get a good clean tone. you basically start all your settings at the uneffected level (it differs from amp to amp, but try on 5.) and just start with one, like bass, and play with it till you like what you hear. leave a bit, let your ears get chilled out, then come back and play with the next level, and so on. you just fine tune it till you like what you hear. it may take days, but its worth it.

I did the same thing with my distortion channel too. it is different from my clean tone, mind you.

some songs, ill dial in more mid to get more punch, some more bass for more rumble. you get the picture.

What exact amp is it? For my amp to get that setting, i'd turn the bass to 7 or 8, the mid to about 4, and the treble to about 5 and a half.
O, and playing emo isn't good for the amp. ;)

im using a 15 watts schindler amp.. yeah i got it on a package with my strat and its pretty cheap

theres is no treble, bass, mid etc.. here its only HIGH LOW AND MID

Read my post and change high to treble, and Low to Bass. It'll all fall in. peace
