Whats up guys, im new here my names Josh I just started playing guitar, My biggest Musical Influences are, Zakk Wylde, Iced Earth, Black Sabbath, Pantera, In Flames and so on, a pretty wide range of groups but all under the metal category

I was reading some stuff around the forum and why is it some people here really dont like zakk wylde? i mean you guys know a hell of alot more about playing guitar then me but i have heard every single song he's ever played (give or take lol) and seen him live many times, also met him a few times and love his music and think hes an amazing guitarist, so can someone explain that to me

seems like a good group and hopefully you guys can help me learn guitar :D

to tell the truth i like zakk wylde but alot of stereotypes are around metal as in metal has no musical sense and stuff. but i don't know how many if any people here hold that stereotype

hmm, I wouldnt say we hate him at all. I'd say his pinch harmonics are some of the best out there, and i'd bet most people agree.

oh, and welcome aboard, man.

the reason i thought there was a dislike towards the zakk man was because the first post i read on here was someone saying he would rather be kicked in the face then play like zakk wylde lol

hey brother, welcome aboard...this is place is awesome...I never really realised how awesome until earlier today, when I read of Ninjie's tragic news...I would never have thought I could care so much for the son of a guitarist who lives across the world from me, and whom I have never met...

we're a family here...sorry to have gotten all soppy on you guys, especially Bls on one of your first visits, but its true.

These guys are amazing

Dude, have you even read the lyrics to "Sunny F***ing Michael Roxx?" It won't be long now until the record companies start walking all over each other to get to us.
