I just had a bad lesson.. as a teacher.

does anyone else who teaches guitar have off days where you feel like your screwing everything up and can't get the words out to explain some technique and you feel awful cause this person is paying you for your time and you look like you don't know anything??

sigh, sorry, just feeling down. Most of my lessons go pretty well I think. I'm young and I feel like it would be easy for my students to be quick to say "he's no good", just because of that, so I take the lessons very seriously and I'm pretty hard on myself when they don't go well.

tell the kid he doesnt have to pay for that lesson because you didnt teach, or he gets an extra free lesson

Well you have to learn that you never can serve anybodys favors. Some students love your work, some not.
The main thing about teaching is to get the students way of understanding and learning music. Sometimes this does not work.

It is as easy as it sounds

Well, I guess it was just a one off bad day, I wouldn't worry about it. Those days happen for a reason, usually the reason is to show you how not to do things and so you can improve yourself, it all works out in the end.

I'm gonna start teaching a few friends after my exams, I'm looking forward to it!

thanks for the cheer-ups. I may be to hard on myself sometimes. My student seems to enjoy the lessons, which really just makes me want to teach better and better. Teaching is not easy thats for sure.

thanks again, really just had to let off some frustration and stress, much better now.
